The economic crisis was also reflected in compulsory traffic insurance.

After the increase in fuel prices, the citizens cannot easily get their car out of the parking lots, and they cannot take out the compulsory traffic insurance, which increases the prices by approximately 150 percent.

According to the report prepared by EBS Consulting using the Insurance Information and Monitoring Center data, 18 out of every 100 vehicles in Turkey cannot have compulsory traffic insurance, while this figure rises even higher for commercial vehicles.

This situation reveals the effects of the economic crisis. The rate of uninsurance in trucks and pickup trucks, which are the backbone of trade, was 33 percent.

In tractors used by farmers, this rate was announced as 40 percent. It was noteworthy that the compulsory traffic insurance of the vehicles actively used against the existing economic crisis was not made.

THE CRISIS HIT THE CITIZENS

With the effect of fuel hikes, citizens turned to public transportation vehicles, and it was revealed that many buses and minibuses did not have compulsory traffic insurance due to the increasing costs.

As a result of the research, it was stated that 28 of every 100 buses and 20 of every 100 minibuses do not have compulsory traffic insurance.

Many citizens were unable to insure their vehicles due to the economic crisis.

In the compulsory traffic insurance, where there is more than one level, the lowest traffic insurance cost after the hikes was 1,103 TL, and the highest traffic insurance cost was 5,592 TL.

Compulsory traffic insurance cannot be obtained for 6 out of every 100 cars and 66 out of every 100 motorcycles in the Turkish car park.

3 OUT OF EVERY 10 VEHICLES IN MANİSA WITHOUT INSURANCE

In the data, which includes the figures for the 10 provinces that stand out in terms of the number of vehicles in Turkey, the province with the highest number of uninsured vehicles is Manisa with 30.7 percent, followed by Gaziantep with 25.9 percent, Konya with 25.2 percent, Adana with 24 percent. Antalya and Mersin take the lead with 22.4 percent, Izmir with 20.9 percent, Bursa with 16.8 percent, Istanbul with 12 percent and Ankara with 10.2 percent.
