In these days, when the press was engaged in the propaganda machine instead of making the public's voice heard, the Milli Gazete was again worthy of the press and contributed to the solution by making the people's demands public.

The water problem of the farmers in Polatlı, which was brought to the agenda yesterday by Milli Gazete with the headline "The products are ruined, the responsible ones are watching," is resolved. Local government units took action upon the news, promising the farmer to solve the problem. Faced with the danger of drying out, agricultural products such as beets, corn and onions will be saved from extinction.

The authorities were not indifferent to the water problem of the farmer in Polatlı district of Ankara, which was brought to the agenda by Milli Gazete. In Polatlı, local governments and DSI stepped in to solve the water problem of the farmer, who was faced with the danger of drying out of beet, corn and onion in 120 thousand decares of cultivated land.

Promises were made for a solution after the meeting held yesterday in the Polatlı Chamber of Agriculture. In addition, at the meeting chaired by the district governor, it was decided to take a step towards the solution of the problem and it was noted that the riverbed would be expected to be filled with water by 14 August. As of this date, farmers will be able to use the water for agricultural land.

It was learned that in the meeting attended by the relevant and officials in the Chamber of Agriculture, it was stated that the water will be given to the river, which has dried up its bed, and a regular irrigation system will be brought to the Sakarya River. Speaking to the Milli Gazete, the farmers were troubled by unplanned irrigation and explained that measures should be taken. The farmers, who could not irrigate their fields for 35 days, stated that they could not irrigate their cultivated fields with 120 thousand decares of onion, beet and corn and that their products were about to dry.
