Announcing its joint presidential candidate last Monday, the Nation Alliance will organize a visit to the provinces where earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş were effective on February 6.
The Nation Alliance leaders, who have been on the field with separate programs since the first days of the earthquake, go to the region together one month after the earthquake, and it is aimed to put the earthquake issue at the top of the agenda again.
While more than 45 thousand people lost their lives with the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, a great destruction occurred in 10 provinces.
The Nation Alliance, which went down to the field with separate programs from the first days after the earthquakes that stifled the whole country, will organize a joint visit to Kahramanmaraş or Hatay in the coming days, and will raise the earthquake to the top of the political agenda.
THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE WAS IN THE FIELD FROM THE FIRST DAYS
More than a month has passed since the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes. The disaster, in which more than 45 thousand people lost their lives, hundreds of thousands of buildings turned into debris and caused material damage approaching 100 billion dollars, caused great destruction in 10 provinces.
The leaders of the Nation Alliance, who went down to the field from the first days of the earthquake, listened to the problems experienced by the earthquake victims in the provinces affected by the disaster. In the continuation of the process, the Nation Alliance, which came together on February 18, hosted by Saadet Party, drew attention to the problems experienced with the "earthquake special" agenda.
The leaders of the Nation Alliance, who came together to determine the joint presidential candidate, caused the earthquake agenda to change with the political crisis and were also exposed to criticism at this point.
THE ALLIANCE TO GO TO HATAY OR KAHRAMANMARAS
It is expected that the first program of the Nation Alliance will be organized in the provinces affected by the disaster in order to bring the problems experienced by the earthquake victims back to the agenda after the joint presidential candidacy crisis, which caused the earthquake agenda to fall back.
While the party staff stated that the program will take place very soon, they state that the first visit could be made to Hatay or to Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the earthquake. Stating that there is no clear information about the duration of the program, the staff points out that a three-day visit can be made.
While it is understood that the leaders will once again make the earthquake disaster the main agenda with this visit, they will once again bring up the problems experienced in the delivery of search and rescue and aid materials within the first 48 hours of the government.
EARTHQUAKE COMMISSION HOLDS ITS FIRST MEETING
The Nation Alliance, which came together on February 18 with the earthquake special agenda, decided to establish a commission consisting of a staff member from each party after the meeting.
The commission, which held its first meeting yesterday evening after the joint presidential candidate was clarified, will carry out a study on what to do in the short, medium and long term regarding the earthquake disaster.
