Anadolu Agency published the minutes of the Council of Ministers of 1961 that stresses Turkey's first proposal for the domestic automobile was first put forward by National Vision leader Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan.

FIRST MEETING AFTER 3 MONTHS

ERBAKAN APPLIED TO STATE PLANNING ORGANIZATION

 
Necmettin Erbakan said that they applied to the State Planning Organization on the subject of domestic automobile and that they had informed them of the names of the experts and demanded that the issue be dealt with at the general interest point. 
 
Özdilek, who chaired the Council of Ministers, also asked Erbakan to work on the answers to all questions, while Trade Minister Mehmet Baydur also met with importers and installers and said they would reach the most accurate and rational decision.
