The first Treasury Vault, where all economic transactions were managed after the establishment of the Republic of Turkey and which was later converted into a museum, sheds light on the history of economics by containing documents starting from the first money adventure of humanity.
The Treasury Vault Office was built in the Ulus district of Ankara in order to carry out all the economic transactions of the Republic of Turkey.
The historical building preserves the most important documents, bills, bonds and contracts made with many different countries in the history of the Republic.
In addition, the building, which has been converted into a museum, hosts works that reflect the economic and sociological remains of Ankara in the 17th and 18th centuries. Turkey's first Treasury Vault Office opened its doors to UAVs.

Ankara Social Sciences University Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Kazım Arıcan stated that the Treasury Vault was a structure where all economic transactions were carried out, money was printed and valuables were kept in the Republican period.
"Being in such a place makes one feel intertwined with history. You feel like being in a building with a soul. We also see and feel how the Republic was established and how it came to these days. The Treasury Department has a very valuable dimension. Especially all the valuable documents of the newly established Republic are here. Previous valuable papers, newly printed papers, bonds, bonds and valuables from many countries of the world are here. In a sense, the Treasury Department is not only about the economy, but it is also a safe place where very sensitive documents are kept," Arıcan said.

Arıcan, who described the first ministry building established in the Republican era as a body and explained the Treasury Vault as the heart of this body.
"Being in such a place makes you feel all the depths of history. You feel how the Republic of Turkey was established and with what kind of thought the places were built, and that it was a great work of genius to build such a place in the most precious place of the Ministry building. Because then there is still a security threat and you need to be sure. Therefore, the place you can trust the most; The vault room located in the basement of the powerhouse," Arıcan added.

Arıcan pointed out that all sensitive documents and correspondence carried out during the Republic period are in the Treasury Vault.
"Since it is now a museum, we have transformed this place into a museum that also reflects the history of money. It should be seen by our students studying at the Faculty of Economics and Finance. Here, there is a memory that has a very important role in the context of the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, but when it turned into a museum, it actually turned into a museum that reflects the economic, financial and economic history of humanity," Arıcan stated.
TREASURY VAULT ROOM SHEDS LIGHT ON ECONOMIC HISTORY
Arıcan stated that those who will come to the museum for the first time will encounter the first money adventure of humanity, exchanges, the history of money to their civilizations in Anatolia and the economic history of the Turkish-Islamic states.
"Some of our chambers give the first general information, then make evaluations about the history of economy and money in Anatolia. Especially the 17th and 18th century Ankara, especially in fact, the feature of this museum also tells about the economic life and sociology in Ankara," Arıcan said.

The Treasury Office has 6 different keys. In the period when the safe room was used, these 6 different keys were given to 6 different people to ensure security.
In order for one person to open the safe, he had to get permission from 5 people. In addition, the three-stage entry system must be completed in order to enter the vault.
