While the antique auction held in Burhaniye attracted attention, the flea market, which was established upon high demand, was put into service. Dozens of products from shoes to coats and bed linens offered for sale in the flea market attracted attention. The flea market, supported by the Burhaniye Tourism and Promotion Association, is set up on Tuesday evenings. Stating that the flea market attracts attention, Burhaniye Tourism and Promotion Association President Şükrü Baykal said, “The flea market was opened upon popular demand. Here, unused old items, ie second-hand items, are valued. We did something like this for some people to rate their surplus items. We, as the Burhaniye Tourism and Promotion Association, support this. We are waiting for all people to evaluate their old belongings.”
Murat Aker also said, “We started this on Tuesdays under the name of flea market. From now on we will have a flea market on Tuesdays. We will also have an antique market on Fridays. Hopefully, it will continue like this. Our request is very good. Our people are very satisfied. Citizens bring the items that they want to evaluate in their home here. We also contribute to their income. In a way, we also evaluate them.”

Figen Kıralp said, “Everyone is smiling. It is satisfactory. People are socializing. They become acquainted here, and their products are valued. There are products that everyone uses for a while and then gets bored. I think everyone is happy because it is a new beginning for someone else and because it is economical.”
Gürsel Acar also said, “I think I want to evaluate this second-hand goods event from an environmental point of view. We need to be conscious consumers. Even during the production of a t-shirt, the amount of water used and the amount of energy used are very high. When we buy it second hand, I believe that it has a great contribution to our world, at least in the days when water consumption is very high and drought is on the agenda. I invite everyone here.”
