Turkey's most important farmer's organization, agricultural credit cooperatives, found the exit from the debt quagmire by selling ‘what it has’!

While Hüseyin Aydın, 8-month General Manager of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, puts everything belonging to the farmer up for sale as a ‘remedy’, all the immovables of the regional unions and cooperatives, especially the Central Union, are sold one by one. Aydın's decision on the extraordinary general assembly on September 24, without waiting for the ordinary general assembly in March, raised the question of "Will the companies also be sold?"

12 SALE TENDERS IN 8 MONTHS

While President Erdogan was instructed to open markets all over Turkey in order to ‘lower food prices’, it turned out that the Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, the owners of the markets, were dragged into a debt swamp of 35 billion TL. On the other hand, General Manager Hüseyin Aydın, who was in search of getting out of debt, put everything up for sale, from the farmer's land and building to the lodging and shop. Although since Hüseyin Aydın took office, it has only been 8 months, 12 sales tenders were held for the sale of immovable properties belonging to Agricultural Credit Cooperatives.

“THIS INSTITUTION THAT IS VERY BADLY MANAGED, IS GOING BANKRUPTCY RAPIDLY”

It is recorded that Hüseyin Aydın, General Manager of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, stated that the institution was very badly managed by the general managers before him and that it was under a huge debt burden, and complained that if the necessary measures were not taken, it was heading towards a rapid bankruptcy.

WILL COMPANIES ALSO BE SOLD?

General Manager Hüseyin Aydın's decision on the extraordinary general assembly on September 24, without waiting for the ordinary general assembly of the Central Union to be held in March 2023, in such a period, raised the question "Will the companies also be sold?".

While President Erdoğan instructed to open markets all over Turkey in order to “reduce food prices”, Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, the owners of the markets, made a huge debt of 35 billion TL. On the other hand, General Manager Hüseyin Aydın, who was in search of getting out of debt, put up for sale the land belonging to the farmer, from the building to the lodging and shop. Although it has only been 8 months since Hüseyin Aydın took office, 12 sales tenders were held for the sale of immovable properties belonging to Agricultural Credit Cooperatives.

While it is noteworthy that all immovables belonging to Agricultural Credit Cooperatives such as land, residence, lodging, masonry building, shop were put up for sale, this situation raised the reaction of “The General Manager has come to sell!”
