It has been learned that the government has removed the threshold to make up for the melted votes and to get its share of the 8 million Z generation voters who will vote for the first time. It is stated that the number one reason behind the Council of Higher Education (YÖK)'s removing the threshold is not the quality of education, but the election calculation of the government.

The background of YÖK's sudden decision to remove the threshold application months before the university exam has been revealed! It was learned that the government, whose votes were falling gradually in the public opinion surveys, staged the YÖK game in order not to lose the young people who will vote for the first time, to the opposition. The government aims to attract 8 million young voters who will vote for the first time in this way.

While the discussions about YÖK's removing the threshold in the university exam continue, the political calculation behind it has also emerged! The power, whose votes are melting day by day, started to work from the university exam in order to look cute especially to the young people who will vote for the first time. The power that removes the threshold in the university exam that concerns millions of young people, aims to get the biggest share of the Z generation cake in this way.

ELECTION CALCULATION

If the election is held on regular time, Turkey will go to the polls in June 2023. While 64 million voters are expected to cast their votes in the 2023 elections, approximately 13 million Z generation voters born in 1997 and later make up 20 percent of the total electorate. Nearly 8 million of the 13 million Generation Z voters will vote for the first time. The government, on the other hand, took the threshold step to compensate for its melted votes and to get its share from this big cake. It is stated that the number one reason behind the YÖK's removing the threshold is the election calculation of the government.
