It has been revealed that in the Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, which have been turned into a toy of politics with unqualified appointments in recent years, more expensive fertilizers are sold to the farmers than the market.

While the government, which could not find a solution to the rising food prices, tried to find the guilty with the claim of exorbitant prices, a great insincerity emerged in the most important input of the farmer, fertilizer.

While the input costs of the farmer form the basis of food prices, fertilizers are sold to farmers more expensive than the market in Turkey's largest farmer organization Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, which are managed by political appointments.

Although it has a factory in Iran Razi, which is the foreign investment of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, urea fertilizer is sold more expensive than the market prices, and it is noteworthy that the government, which complains about food prices, remains silent about the fertilizer emphasis here.

While a ton of urea fertilizer is sold in the market between 13,000 liras and 13,500 liras, the same fertilizer is sold between 14,100 liras and 14,200 liras in Agricultural Credit Cooperatives.

It is noteworthy that the Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, which are responsible for supplying all agricultural inputs, especially fertilizers, to the farmer at the most affordable price, sell urea fertilizer for 500-600 TL more per ton than other fertilizer dealers, despite having a factory in Iran.

THE GOVERNMENT'S INSINCERITY IN FOOD PRICES!

Despite the fact that input costs are the main factors that increase food prices, the government's condoning the sale of more expensive fertilizers to farmers in Agricultural Credit Cooperatives reveals the insincerity experienced in food prices.

While Agricultural Credit Cooperatives cause food inflation to increase by selling fertilizer to the farmer more expensive, on the other hand, thousands of markets are opened to reduce the so-called food prices by using the farmer's own resources.

The spending of the resources that should be used in the supply of the products that the farmer will use in agricultural production, on the markets, distracts the Agricultural Credit Cooperatives from doing their main duties.

Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, which were established with the farmer's own resources and have its own board of directors, have been turned into a political toy in recent years, and the institution that should serve the farmer has been transformed into a structure that serves the political interests of the AKP due to unqualified political appointments.

ARE THE LOSS OF THE MARKETS MADE FROM EXPENSIVE FERTILIZER?

Despite having an effective power in the Turkish fertilizer market, the fact that the Agricultural Credit Cooperatives sell urea fertilizer to the farmers at a higher price than the market prices has brought to mind the question, "Is the harm of the markets being removed from expensive fertilizers?"

It is also significant that the Ministry of Agriculture turns a blind eye to this emphasis on fertilizers.
