According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT), house sales to foreigners increased by 39,4 percent in the 11 months of the year compared to the same period of 2020 and became 50,735.
Almost half, 46 percent, of the residences bought by foreigners across the country were sold in Istanbul.
In the January-November period, the sales of residences to foreigners in Istanbul increased by 37 percent and reached 23,169.
According to the research of Nevita, a real estate sales company to foreigners, Esenyurt was at the top of the districts where foreigners bought real estate the most in 11 months of the year, with 7,905 units.
Esenyurt is followed by Beylikdüzü with 2,608 residences, while the total of the two districts reached 10,513. The number of sales to foreigners in Esenyurt and Beylikdüzü constituted almost half of the province total, 45,4 percent.
BAŞAKŞEHİR AND AVCILAR ALSO AT THE TOP
Başakşehir was the third district where foreigners bought the most residences in the January-November period in Istanbul with 1,734, followed by Avcılar with 1,104. In this period, the figure of 1,000 in 4 districts exceeded.
In 11 months of the year, 839 in Kağıthane, 772 in Büyükçekmece, 654 in Zeytinburnu, 644 in Bağcılar, 600 in Küçükçekmece, 581 in Kartal, 541 in Kadıköy, 515 in Sarıyer, 486 in Şişli, 460 houses in Ümraniye were sold.
