D-8, the first major stance against the global order of exploitation, will celebrate its 25th establishment anniversary.
25 years ago, in 1997, the 25th anniversary meeting of the D-8 (Eight Developing Countries), led by Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan, the prime minister of the 54th government of the Republic of Turkey, was held at Istanbul Çırağan Palace, the venue where the first signatures of the foundation of the union were signed. It will be held on Saturday, June 11th at 11:00 am.
Providing information to our newspaper about the celebration program to be held, Mustafa Kaya, Deputy Chairman of Saadet Party for Foreign Policy, noted that this year's theme is "Today's Need, Tomorrow's Hope D-8 in the Age of Chaos, Conflict and War".
Stating that they will sign an enthusiastic program, "Our Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu will attend the program. All embassies of member countries were invited to the program. Invitations were sent to the ministers and deputies of the period. There has been feedback. Invitations were sent to academics and columnists. Contacts were made for the participation of different political personalities in the program," Kaya said.
“EVERY YEAR THE IMPORTANCE OF THE D-8 IS EVEN MORE UNDERSTANDING”
Expressing that the importance of the D-8 in the attainment of peace and tranquility of humanity is understood more and more every year, Kaya made the following assessments:
"Today, the world literally had to face the bitter consequences of conflict, chaos and war going on right next to us. In an atmosphere where threats and uncertainties are constantly on the agenda, humanity is looking for a way out. Peace and tranquility demands must be met as soon as possible, and all humanity must get out of this bottleneck. At this point, it is imperative that D-8, which is the greatest gift of the 20th century to the 21st century, should be more active and take responsibility for the developments."
“WE PLAN EVEN THE SMALLEST DETAILS OF THE PROGRAM”
Kaya stated that there will be talks about the meaning and importance of D-8.
"Posts on D-8, which will show both historical and future-oriented cinevisions, will also be presented in the program. We have completed all our preparations. We are working on even the smallest details to make it an organization worthy of D-8," Kaya added.
