President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the good news of the increase in the basic pension.
According to the gospel, it was stated that the base pension, which is 5 thousand 500 TL, will be 7 thousand 500 TL.
Zeynel Abidin Ergen, Chairman of the Union of All Retirees, reminded that the increase was not made for root salaries.
Noting that there will be no increase in the salaries of retirees whose base salary has increased in July and January, he underlined that the increases to be made should be based on basic salaries.
Making statements regarding the announcement, Zeynel Abidin Ergen, Chairman of the Union of All Retirees, stated that retirees should be informed in detail about the increase in the base pension.
He stated that with the increase to be made, steps should be taken in order not to cause new grievances.
RETIREES CANNOT BENEFIT FROM THE NEXT RAISES
Stating that the increase in the base pension will be made with the support of the treasury, Ergen noted that the increase was not made over the root salary.
"Our friends who received 5 thousand 500 TL increased to 7 thousand 500 TL, but since the next raise in July will be based on the root salary, the salaries of these friends will not be raised until they exceed 7 thousand 500 TL. This has happened to us in the past. The increase in question will not be applied collectively with the help of the treasury, but only to our friends who receive a base pension," he said.
MINIMUM FEES SHOULD BE BASED ON BONUSES
Stating that the steps taken in the process are for the election, Ergen stated that there are some regulation requests on behalf of the retirees.
"The decision to raise has not yet come to the Parliament. As it stands, it appears as an increase below the minimum wage and the hunger limit. In order to prevent grievances, the lowest root wage must be above the minimum wage. In addition, it was stated that there would be an increase in holiday bonuses. The minimum wage should be taken as a basis for the holiday bonuses to be given," Ergen added.
