A march was held in Edirne with the slogan "The Conquest of Istanbul Begins from Edirne".
Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Mustafa İriş, Saadet Party Edirne Provincial President Sinan Tekin, Saadet Party Tekirdağ Provincial President Halil İbrahim Kart, Saadet Party Youth Branch Vice President Fatih Toytekin, Memur-Sen labour union Edirne Branch President Erdinç Dalgıç, Edirne Combat Veterans Association President Ahmet İsmailoğlu, AGD members, representatives of non-governmental organizations and citizens attended the march.
The participants came together on Kıyık Street, the starting point of the march, at the "Tophane Bayırı" location where the cannons used in the conquest of Istanbul were poured.
After the National Anthem and the recitation of the Qur'an, a 'Conquest March' was held with the mehter team until Selimiye Square.
In the march, Fatih Sultan Mehmet and Akşemseddin, who is known as his teacher and played an important role in the conquest of Istanbul, were also portrayed on horseback.

Stating that the combination of strength with reason and excitement with experience is the key to conquest, İriş said, "Every Fatih has an Akşemsettin, every Osman Gazi has a Sheikh Edebali. The conquest of Istanbul took place because there was science/technique besides excitement, and reason next to faith. For this, there is a need for people at every level who are firmly attached to our civilizational values, whose hearts and horizons are wide, and who adopt goodness and justice as their motto. The basis of everything is morality and spirituality. That's why, as the Anatolian Youth Association, it has been our top priority."
