According to the fitra (special form of islamic alms-charity) calculation announced as 27 lira this year; The monthly need of a family of 4 was 3,240 Turkish Liras. The minimum wage is 2,324 liras and 70 cents.

The Islamic alms giving to the poor in the month of Ramadan was determined as 27 lira in 2020.
 
In recent years, the minimum wage has remained lower than the calculated amount based on four types of foodstuffs, consisting of wheat, barley, grapes and dates.
 
The minimum wage was far below the fitra announced this year. Namely, while the monthly fit of a core family of 4 is 3,240 TL, the minimum wage in our country is 2,324 TL.
 

EVERYDAY MINIMUM FOOD NEEDS OF A PERSON IS CALCULATED

 
Religious Affairs Presidency of Religious Affairs Supreme Board Presidency announced 2020 fitra amount.
 
The Higher Board of Religious Affairs determined the minimum amount of filing for the year 2020 as 27 lira. The statement made by the High Council of Religious Affairs stated the following:
 
"As a result of the evaluations, considering the fact that the fitra alms are given by almost all Muslim communities, taking into consideration the current socio-economic life conditions and the daily minimum food requirement of a person, from the beginning of the month of 2020 until the beginning of the month of Ramadan in 2021. It was decided to be determined as 27 liras."
