The last increase in the minimum wage is announced as the "highest increase in the last 50 years", but it is still not close to the "102 percent" increase in Erbakan Hodja's 54th Government and the period he closed with a "balanced budget" without borrowing.

The minimum wage hike, which the government has expressed as "the highest increase in the last 50 years", cannot pass near or far from the raise given by Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan Hodja 25 years ago when he was Prime Minister of the 54th Government.

Erbakan Hodja gave more than twice the increase, which was described as "the highest increase rate in the last 50 years", to the minimum wage earners. "Legendary Prime Minister" Erbakan Hodja, who made a 102 percent increase in the minimum wage in July 1996, realized the only balanced budget in the history of the Republic of Turkey, without increasing anything and without adding additional taxes.

BATTLE AGAINST INTEREST CAN BE GIVEN LIKE ERBAKAN HODJA

Erbakan Hodja, who almost set a barrier in front of rentier and interest, did not raise anything, especially consumer goods. Former Prime Minister Erbakan Hodja, who made a real raise of 221 percent for ‘Bağ-Kur’ retirees, brought welfare to every segment, from worker to civil servant, from retired to farmer, just like the name of his party. Erbakan Hodja, who recovered the country's economy in a short time 25 years ago, took steps that will be a lesson for today and showed everyone how to fight interest.

The minimum wage figure, which the citizens, who fell into a bottleneck with the economic crisis, was eagerly waiting for, was announced the other day. Regarding the minimum wage hike, which was announced as 4,253 Turkish Liras (TL), President Erdoğan said, "The highest minimum wage increase in the last 50 years has been made." However, the made increase is less than half of the raise made by the Prime Minister of the 54th Government, Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan Hodja and it is not even the highest rate in 25 years. Prime Minister of the 54th Government Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan Hodja had increased the minimum wage by 102 percent in July 1996.

ERBAKAN HODJA SHOWED WAY OF FIGHTING AGAINST INTEREST

Erbakan Hodja, who established the 54th government on June 28, 1996, made a balanced budget for the first time in the history of the republic in just 6 months.

Erbakan Hodja, who almost set a barrier in front of rentier and interest, did not raise anything, especially consumer goods. Prime Minister Erbakan Hodja, who made a real raise of 221 percent for the retirees of ‘Bağ-Kur’, brought welfare to every segment, from workers to civil servants, from pensioners to farmers, just like the name of his party. Erbakan Hodja, who recovered the country's economy in a short time 25 years ago, took steps that would be a lesson for today and showed everyone how to fight interest.

RISE MELTS AGAINST THE DOLLAR

On the other hand, the increase in the minimum wage has only increased the amount of money that will be received by the citizens. As soon as the hike, which did not cause any positive change in purchasing power, melted against the dollar rate. Although possible new hikes have not yet come, the new minimum wage, which can buy less products than last year's minimum wage, also caused the citizens to make a market calculation.

LESS ITEMS CAN BE PURCHASED THAN LAST YEAR

According to calculations, the employee,  with a minimum of 2,825 TL wage, who could buy 1,883 bread for 1,5 TL in last January with his wage, can only buy 1,700 bread with today's minimum wage. Milk, which was bought for 6 TL in last January, is bought for 13,5 TL today. While the worker could buy 470 liters of milk with his money last year, today, only 314 liters of milk can be bought with 4,253 TL. The situation is not different for other staple foods. The minimum wage earner, who was able to buy more than 7,000 eggs last year, can only buy around 4,000 eggs today.

Prime Minister Erbakan Hodja, had brought welfare to every segment, from workers to civil servants, from pensioners to farmers, just like the name of his party.
