Turkey Statistical Institute (TSI), announced the June inflation data. According to TURKSTAT data, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 2.61 percent in June and by 15.39 percent year on year. Domestic Producer Price Index (YI-UFE) increased by 3.03 percent in June and increased by 23.71 percent year on year. Consumer prices increased by 11.49 percent, domestic producer prices increased by 16.57 percent, while 12-month averages were taken into consideration by June.

The cost of living for the citizen is growing steadily. Turkey, since the year failed to reach the 5 percent inflation target, on the contrary gradually recedes. FOOD PRICES RISE RAPIDLY

 
According to TURKSTAT data, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 2.61 percent in June and by 15.39 percent year on year. Domestic Producer Price Index (YI-UFE) increased by 3.03 percent in June and increased by 23.71 percent year on year. In June, CPI increased by 9.17 percent compared to December last year, while producer prices increased by 15.52 percent compared to December 2017. The highest monthly increase in June was seen in the food and non-alcoholic beverages group with 5.98 percent. The highest increase on an annual basis was in the transport group with 24.26 percent.
 
In June, the highest monthly increase was in food and non-alcoholic beverages with 5.98 percent, followed by communication with 4.76 percent, transportation with 2.66 percent, household goods with 2.24 percent, entertainment and culture with 2 percent, An increase of 16%. In June, the only group that showed a decline in major spending groups was clothing and footwear with 1.15 percent.
 
The highest increase in the annual basis in TÜFE was in the transport group with 24.26 percent. 18.91 percent of household goods, 18.89 percent of food and non-alcoholic beverages, 16.79 percent of various goods and services, 13.30 percent of restaurants and hotels followed.
