In the said period, 448 billion 705 million TL of the deposits of the millionaires consisted of local currency, 690 billion 668 million TL foreign exchange deposit account and 6 billion 85 million TL precious metal deposit accounts. The average deposit per million inhabitants in the country was calculated as 6 million 745 thousand liras. The number of millionaires settled in Turkey last year was 126 thousand 969, and the total deposits of these depositors in banks were 835 billion 621 million TL.
According to the BRSA data, the number of depositors established abroad increased to 22 thousand 589 by the end of August. While the number of millionaires abroad increased by 10 thousand 578 people compared to the end of last year, the amount of money in their accounts was calculated as 133 billion 612 million TL. 7 billion 391 million pounds of deposits of depositors in the bank outside the country are the local currency, The pound consisted of precious metal deposit accounts. The average deposit per million inhabitants abroad was calculated as 5 million 915 thousand liras. Analysts recently pointed out that the increase in exchange rates has increased the number of millionaires.
