According to the information compiled by the AA correspondent, the number of "domestic registered voters", which was 56 million 322 thousand 632 in the President and Deputy General Elections held on Sunday, June 24, 2018, increased to 60 million 721 thousand 745 in the last election on May 14.
In the Presidential Election on May 14, 53 million 993 thousand 683 of the registered voters cast their votes.
In the election on June 24, 2018, 49 million 671 thousand 344 out of 56 million 322 thousand 632 voters registered in the domestic electoral register went to the polls.
The number of invalid votes, which was 1 million 109 thousand 260 in the domestic elections in 2018, became 1 million 20 thousand 749 in the domestic elections on May 14.
The rate of participation in the domestic elections, which was 88.19 percent in the 2018 election, increased to 88.92 percent in the May 14 election.
PARTICIPATION IN INTERNATIONAL ELECTIONS INCREASED BY 5 PERCENT
According to YSK's 2018 and 2023 election "abroad ballot boxes" data, 1 million 358 thousand 584 out of 3 million 44 thousand 837 registered voters abroad in 2018 went to vote.
17 thousand 366 of these votes were declared invalid. In the elections held on May 14, 1 million 691 thousand 287 out of 3 million 423 thousand 759 registered voters cast their votes in overseas ballot boxes.
Thus, the participation rate abroad, which was calculated as 44.62 percent in the 2018 election, increased to 49.40 percent in the last election.
RESULTS AT CUSTOMS DOORS
According to the "customs gates election result" data of the 2018 and 2023 elections of the YSK, 168 thousand 31 of the voters registered in the foreign electoral roll cast their votes at the customs in the elections on 24 June 2018.
In the last election, 148,183 people preferred to vote at customs. The electoral turnout rate at customs gates was calculated as 5.52 percent in 2018. This rate fell to 4.33 percent in the May 14 election.
