Erbaş congratulated the family of 99-year-old Rızkiye Tanrıverdi, Ayşi Görgün and Yasin Sakat, and the 2-month-old baby Mehmet Salih, the youngest pilgrim candidate, during the meeting held within the scope of the event held at the hotel coordinated by the Presidency in Mecca.
Pointing out that there are good memories during the 2023 pilgrimage period, Erbaş stated that bringing together the oldest pilgrim candidates and the youngest pilgrim candidates is one of them.
Expressing that being healthy is a great blessing to be able to perform the pilgrimage, Erbaş said, "May Allah grant them a good life in health and well-being. May Allah grant them the opportunity to go to Arafat in a healthy way, make their foundations and complete their pilgrimage by performing their circumambulation and numbers after Arafat. May Almighty Allah accept the beauties we experienced in this year's pilgrimage in the divinity of the dervish lodge."
"I WAIT TO GO TO ARAFAT WITH EXCITEMENT"
Pilgrim candidate Yasin Sakat stated that the pilgrimage draw was made in 2020, but he could not come due to the epidemic.
"I've been waiting for the Qur'an to come out for 15 years, I was very excited when my name came out. I came to pilgrimage at the age of 99, God granted me, I circumambulated on my feet. By Allah's leave, I am eagerly waiting to go to Arafat and may Allah grant us all the opportunity to reach Arafat," he said.
Rızkiye Tanriverdi noted that she was very happy and excited to come to the pilgrimage, which she had been waiting for 14 years.
"OUR BABY GAVE US EASE"
Sultan Bayram, the mother of baby Mehmet Salih, also explained that they were written in the pilgrimage lot this year.
"Thank God, God has given us the opportunity to come, it is a very good feeling", she said.
Father İsmail Bayram, on the other hand, said that they got married a year ago.
"It was our baby's share that we came to the pilgrimage right away. At first they told us, 'You will have a hard time with your baby', but thank God we came here and we didn't have any problems. Actually, our baby made it easy for us. Many people are trying to help us here," he said.
