Even though the reason for the break was given as the excuse of Covid-19, opposition party deputies say that government resorted to this way so that the main agenda of the country can not come to the agenda of the General Assembly.

THE REAL AGENDA OF THE CITIZEN DOES NOT COME TO THE TBMM!

Although international agendas have been discussed in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) for the last 2 weeks, the problems of the citizens have hardly been mentioned. It was stated that the law proposals regarding the approval of international agreements were not discussed for such a long time, and the situation in question was evaluated as the ruling deputies are filling up their hours. While criticism about the decrease in the influence of the TBMM, especially with the Presidential Government System, has increased, the real agenda of the citizens does not come to the TBMM.

NO SUGGESTIONS OF THE OPPOSITION WERE ACCEPTED!

It was noteworthy that the Justice and Development Party (AKP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), did not accept any law proposals of the opposition parties. In the process when the international agreements of the opposition parties are on the agenda, no proposal was accepted on the issues of “Investigating physician resignations, the problems experienced in the system of Central Physician Appointment, reducing violence against healthcare workers, investigating poverty, withdrawing the hikes in basic goods and services, investigating inflation, investigating the problems of tradesmen and craftsmen, applying antigen tests, expanding the duties and powers of mukhtars.” The situation in question led to comments that the government does not care about real problems.
