Turkey will go to the polls for the presidential and parliamentary elections on May 14.

Another important threshold has been passed with the parliamentary lists prepared by political parties and submitted to the Supreme Election Board in the past days.

The support given to the alliance and presidential candidates has also become clear.

It is claimed that the DSP, which is the most important party of the governments established after February 28, is in the MHP People's Alliance, while the Motherland (Anavatan) Party will also support it.

The critical process has been completed, with the lists of deputies submitted to the Supreme Election Board (YSK) and the quota of deputies in return for alliance and support within the alliance.

Drawing attention with the alliance negotiations it held during the process, the AK Party cooperated with the 28 February parties that it frequently criticized. After February 28, three governments were formed.

One of them remained in power for a very short time, while the other two governments carried the country until the 2002 elections.

The Anasol-D government, which was first established under the chairmanship of Motherland Party Chairman Mesut Yılmaz, remained in power for about a year and a half.

The first of the two governments established by DSP Chairman Bülent Ecevit remained in power for a short time, while the other remained in power for three years as Anasol-M.

FEBRUARY 28 ACTORS WILL SUPPORT PEOPLE'S ALLIANCE

With only 33 days left until the elections, the support talks continue at full speed.

While the election calendar announced by the Supreme Election Board continues to run, with the submission of the 28th term parliamentary candidate lists, another critical step has been left behind in the election process.

It was noteworthy that the AK Party, which sought support with its alliance negotiations during this period, came together with the parties that were the implementers of the 28 February resolutions.

DSP OK, HOMELAND IS NEXT

The AK Party, which held a series of meetings with the Motherland Party in the first place, could not get results from these meetings.

It is claimed that the Motherland Party, which will enter the elections with its parliamentary candidates, will once again support Erdoğan in the presidential elections, just as it did in 2018.

On the other hand, the AK Party, which met with the Democratic Left Party shortly before the delivery date of the parliamentary lists, made an election cooperation in exchange for the deputy.

Thanks to the AK Party, which has nominated DSP Chairman Önder Aksakal from an elected position, the DSP will be able to enter the Parliament after many years.

MHP, FOUNDER OF THE ALLIANCE

Anasol-M governments, with the participation of the Motherland Party and the Democratic Left Party, that is, the Anasol government and later the MHP, which came to power after the Welfare-Yol Government, quickly approved the decisions taken and put them into practice.

The actors and political parties of the period, which signed the decisions that included the headscarf ban, will support the president of the People's Alliance.

NATO DECISION CHANGED PERİNÇEK

On the other hand, one of the most important defenders of the February 28 mentality, Vatan Party Chairman Doğu Perinçek also supported the People's Alliance for a long time.

After Turkey's NATO decision regarding Finland, Perinçek began to criticize the alliance.
