People's Alliance partners no longer believe they can win the elections! The necessity for the President to be elected with 50+1 caused a crisis in the People's Alliance.

The fact that the ruling AK Party and MHP's total votes could not reach 50 percent in the polls caused the partners of the People's Alliance to worry, and 50+1 complaints came from important names of the AKP, especially President Erdogan.

The recent remorseful statements have been publicly interpreted as "The People's Alliance does not believe that it can win any more".

LOSE FAITH THAT IT WILL WIN

As public opinion research companies share their surveys, 50+1 complaints come from members of the People's Alliance.

As it became more and more difficult for AKP+MHP to reach 50+1 percent of the total vote in the polls, the backstages about 50+1 percent were active.

The rise of different voices within the AKP was evaluated as, on the one hand, regret over 50+1 percent, and on the other hand, they lost their belief that the People's Alliance would reach 50+1 percent.

AKP AND MHP THINK DIFFERENTLY

While there were complaints about 50+1 percent from within the ruling AKP, Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, a partner of the People's Alliance, declared that they saw 50+1 percent as a requirement of pluralist democracy at the group meeting.

While there was a difference of opinion about 50+1 percent in the People's Alliance, AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made a statement after the MKYK meeting, "These systems will be used in the next elections. Recommendations need to be seen," he gave the signals that the elections will be held with the same system.
