Memur-Sen Confederation shared its August “hunger-poverty” survey with the public. According to the results of the research, the hunger limit for a family of four was determined as 2,909 liras, while the poverty line was determined as 8,263 liras.
The unavoidable increase in food prices also took place in Memur-Sen's research. Accordingly, food prices increased by 3.09 percent in August compared to July.
In a period when we left the summer months behind, it was stated in the results of the research that there was an increase of 0.64 percent in heating prices, which is one of the items that citizens are most interested in.
EDUCATION AND HEALTH PRICES INCREASED
According to the research, in this period when schools were opened, there was an increase of 1.47 percent in education item prices.
There was an increase in the prices of personal hygiene and education items.
In this process, where the pandemic continued, there was an increase of 3.46 percent in the prices of personal cleaning products, while there was an increase of 0.82 percent in the prices of health products.
While hospital bed fees increased by 3.39 percent, a decrease of 2.04 percent was observed in laboratory analysis fees.
