“OUR CITIZEN CANNOT PAY THEIR BILLS”
Making a press statement after the visits, Saadet Party İpekyolu District President Vahit Uce said, "Even though our district is the heart of Van, İpekyolu is the place where poverty and financial difficulties are felt the most among the districts of Van. A significant portion of the families we visited, tell us that they could not pay their electricity, water, natural gas bills or that they had heating problems because they could not buy coal. Many families are not able to eat healthily due to high food prices. Our tradesmen, likewise, it is having a hard time standing up due to high electricity and natural gas bills. As of today, electricity, water and natural gas of many houses have been cut off. The electricity bill, which was 400 Turkish Liras (TL) a month ago, came to 1,000 TL this month, and many of our citizens are unable to pay their bills.
