PURCHASING POWER CANNOT BE FIXED WITH 38 TL
Speaking at the meeting, Ali Yalçın, Chairman of ‘Memur-Sen’, stated that it is important that the efforts they have been making for tax exemption for years are important, but he reminded the fluctuation in the economy in the last three months and noted that tax exemption is not enough for public employees. “The low purchasing power of civil servants cannot be fixed with an additional recovery of 38 Turkish Liras (TL). Civil servants are waiting for an additional raise, we will put all our strength on the field for this,” Yalçın added.
CIVIL SERVANT EXPECTS ADDITIONAL RISE
Stating that he explained the tax exemption’s benefit to civil servants in clear terms to President Erdogan, Yalçın stated that the regulation, which provides 38 TL to a married civil servant with two children, is not sufficient. Yalçın concluded his speech by reiterating that the expectation of public employees is an additional raise.
