As the conditions get tougher, the protest votes increase! The AKP voters, who are disturbed by the policies of the government, are preparing to protest the ballot box!
While there are generally around 10 percent of swing votes in public opinion polls, for the first time, the rate of those who will protest the ballot box has exceeded the swing votes.
REACTION VOTES ARE 12 PERCENT, SWING VOTES ARE 10 PERCENT
In the first week of February, the results of the Turkey Report's research with 1,500 people across Turkey were announced.
In the research, which was asked, "Who would you vote for if there were an election this Sunday," it was revealed that the rate of those who said "I would not vote" for the first time exceeded the "swing votes".
According to the research, the rate of those who said "I would not vote" was 12.4 percent, and the rate of those who said "I am undecided" was determined as 10 percent.
The fact that the government did not accept the existence of the problems instead of solving the problems caused him to return to the government as a reaction.
GOVERNMENT AND THE OPPOSITION HAVE DUTIES
While the fact that the protest votes were more AKP voters made it difficult for the government, it also revealed that the responsibility of the opposition increased.
The protest of the voters, who react to the government, at the ballot box increases the responsibility of the opposition as well as the government. The opposition needs to make extra efforts to get the voters to the polls.
SELÇUKI: “AKP'S PROBLEM WILL BE TAKING VOTERS OUT FROM HOMES”
Drawing attention to the high protest votes in the research, Turkey Report Director Can Selçuki said, "In our research, the rate of those who stated that they would not vote for the first time exceeded the rate of those who were undecided. A significant part of those who say they will not vote are AKP voters. When we look at the 2011-2018 elections, we see that when the AKP's votes drop in the areas where it is strongest, the turnout also decreases in those areas. Angry AKP voters prefer to stay at home if they can't see an alternative. If it continues like this, the biggest problem of the AKP in the 2023 elections will be to get its voters out of the house."
