Republican People’s Party (CHP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) held their weekly group meetings in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu came to power over the economy at the group meeting of his party. MHP Chairman Devlet Bahceli made harsh criticisms of the opposition parties.
KILIÇDAROĞLU: “THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THE ECONOMY!”
Emphasizing that the state administration should not be personalized, Kılıçdaroğlu said, “If you personalize the administration of the state, that country will never be able to get rid of its problems. We see that two areas have been personalized. We personalized the economy and foreign policy. A person in the economy said, 'Whatever I say is true', the dollar is going up. Interest rates are going up. They explain program after program. Every program announced gets worse. Because we have all seen that the person who says 'I am an economist' does not understand the ‘e’ of the economy. The state was governed by reason, knowledge, experience and justice.”
KILIÇDAROĞLU: “WE HAVE TO REVERSE THE PICTURE”
On the issue of asylum seekers, pointing out that the government has no policy regarding refugees, Kılıçdaroğlu added, “Anyone who wants to get out of the borders can do it by waving his arm.The imperial power gives instructions and they make it all. When the lack of policy regarding refugees and the depression in the economy come together, Turkey is going into a deep crisis step by step. If there is a social reaction, it is very dangerous. It should not be scratched, it should be terminated. They made the country this way. Erdogan changes his mind hourly. No reason, no logic, no knowledge, no planning. We have to reverse this picture.”
BAHÇELİ: “THE COUNTRY'S WEAK PART IS REFUGEE ISSUE”
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli harshly criticized the statements of the Chairman of the Victory (Zafer) Party, Ümit Özdağ, about the Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and his going to the ministry. Speaking about the refugee issue, which is on the agenda, Bahçeli said that the refugee issue has turned into a weak part of the country and is prone to abuse. Stating that they aim for a Turkey with 100 provinces and a population of 100 million, Bahçeli said, “We are also aware that the refugee problem has completely ceased to be a problem that Turkey can bear, digest and endure for many years… After all, if the Syrian refugees are our guests today, they will be our neighbors tomorrow.” Bahçeli also reacted to the Black Sea trip of Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB).
