The persistent follow-up of the Milli Gazete on the Tax Procedure Law (VUK), which is the biggest problem of approximately one million tradesmen, yielded results.

The government took action regarding the VUK, which was brought to the agenda for the first time by our newspaper with the news that "The uncertainty in the law costs 25 years".

While the Chairman of the Justice Commission, AKP Deputy Yılmaz Tunç, announced that the regulation was sent to the Presidency of the parliament, thanks poured out from the shopkeepers to the Milli Gazete.

TRADESMEN THANK MILLI GAZETE

Due to the different interpretation of some articles in the Tax Procedure Law, nearly one million tradesmen were at risk of being imprisoned for no reason.

For the first time, the Milli Gazete voiced the voice of the tradesmen, who have been struggling to eliminate this uncertainty in the law for years.

After the news of our newspaper, the government announced that it had taken action for regulation.

After the second news of our newspaper, the Chairman of the Justice Commission, AKP Deputy Yılmaz Tunç, announced that the regulation was sent to the parliament.

After Tunç's statement, dozens of tradesmen reached the Milli Gazete on social media and phones and thanked them for making their voices heard.

“THE IMPORTANT PART OF THE PROBLEMS WILL BE SOLVE THROUGH REGULATION”

Tens of thousands of tradesmen were counting the days for prison due to tax procedure laws, especially article 359.

While "trades who issue fake invoices and use these invoices unknowingly" were put in the same category, the tradesmen faced high retroactive delay increases, triple tax penalty and prison sentences ranging from 15-25 years.

On the other hand, thousands of tradesmen, who were subjected to chain penalties by giving more than one punishment for a crime, had to quit their trades only because of VUK359.

In addition, the closure of the Supreme Court road due to VUK359 caused tens of thousands of shopkeepers to be imprisoned after their sentences were approved in the appeal.

It is expected that a significant part of these problems will be resolved with the regulation sent by the government to the parliament.
