Diyanet-Sen Chairman Mehmet Ali Güldemir sharply criticized the laying down of the Kaaba photo in front of Boğaziçi University and said, "I strongly condemn this unlimited attack on our holy Kaaba, the common sacred value of Muslims."
Reacting to the unlimited attack on the Kaaba, the holy place of Muslims, in front of Boğaziçi University, Diyanet-Sen President Mehmet Ali Güldemir noted that laying down the photograph of the Kaaba was clearly a provocative act. He emphasized that the persons responsible for the action should be found immediately and be accountable before the judiciary.
THE DIYANET WILL NOT REMAIN SILENT
Stating that nobody has the right to break social peace, target freedom of belief and attack our saints, Güldemir said, “This is not a freedom of thought, but a provocation. It is an ugly provocation. Those who pursue chaos by touching the nerve endings of the nation with these provocations commit the greatest betrayal to the country. The Diyanet community, which does not keep silent in the face of these betrayals, will not remain silent from now on,”
THE PUBLIC WILL NOT ALLOW PROVOCATIVE ACTIONS
Emphasizing that the society will not allow this provocative action experienced in the difficult days due to the corona in the world and as a country, Güldemir said, “These days when we need unity and solidarity and support each other more, this separating, provocative attitude is not an attitude that people who love their country and its people will adopt. This is straightforward and this people will explain their limits very well to those who do not know their limits”.

Stating that the investigation initiated by the Boğaziçi University Rectorate and the Istanbul Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the action was satisfactory, Güldemir stated that they will follow the issue as Diyanet-Sen and said, "We expect the responsible to be accountable before justice and apologize to all Muslims".
