The reports of deputies who could not be elected in the parliament are also on the agenda. There are many deputies whose immunity will be lifted because they are no longer deputies, especially CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
The records of the deputies in question will be returned to the prosecutor's office. So, how will the process work then?
Along with the swearing-in ceremony in the Parliament, the button will be pressed for the removal of immunities. The immunity of those who have a report against them and could not be elected as a member of parliament in this term will be dropped.
Chief among these names is CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. There are 28 reports about Kılıçdaroğlu.
13 of them insult the President. Allegations of slander, threats, inciting the public to hatred and enmity, attempting to influence judicial proceedings, insulting public officials are also included in the other proceedings.
WILL BE SENT TO COURT
A record number of cases are waiting for the Constitution and Justice Joint Committee of the Assembly.
Most of them are about HDP members.
1,400 of the more than 1800 reports belong to HDP deputies. There are about 300 files about CHP members.
The file of those who cannot be elected as a proxy will be sent to the court. After the opening of the parliament, the files of those who were not elected as deputies in the mixed commission will be separated and returned to the prosecutor's office.
If the Prosecutor's Office sees a "criminal element" in those records, it will be able to turn it into an indictment and send it to the court. Court cases will continue from where they left off.
