Evaluating the results of the May 14 elections, the leaders worked on the roadmap to be followed for the presidential elections that went to the second round. The Nation Alliance will establish closer contact with the electorate.
NATIONAL ALLIANCE LEADERS MEET
Having left the May 14 elections behind, Turkey will once again go to the polls for the presidential elections on May 28.
The election will be held between the joint candidate of the People's Alliance and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the joint candidate of the Nation Alliance and CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
After the Supreme Election Council (YSK) announced that the propaganda period had officially begun, the leaders of the Nation Alliance came together at the CHP Headquarters, while the election campaigns continued in both alliances.
The meeting, hosted by the joint presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, was attended by Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu, IYI Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener, DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan, Gelecek Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu and Democrat Party Chairman Gültekin Uysal.
At the summit, which started at 15.00, the results of the 14 May elections were evaluated, and the road map to be followed for the second round elections was worked on. After the meeting, which lasted more than 3 hours, the leaders left the CHP Headquarters.
