The name of İrfan Fidan, who was appointed as a member of the Court of Cassation when he was the Chief Public Prosecutor of Istanbul and was a candidate for the AYM membership without opening any file cover at the Court of Cassation, continues to be on the agenda.
Fidan, who was a candidate for the Constitutional Court membership the week he was a member of the Supreme Court and withdrew in favor of other candidates, was by far the name with the highest number of votes in the elections held on December 17, 2020.
