Malatya Governor's Office demanded the removal of the soup kitchen tent set up by Saadet Party in Malatya, which was affected by the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş.

The governor's office, which issued a statement after the reactions to the decision, which was met with public reaction, announced that a container bazaar would be established in the area.

Saadet Party Malatya Provincial Chairman Mustafa Canbay met with Malatya Governor Hulusi Şahin.

"The governor's office offered us a suitable place. We also have savings. We will re-establish our soup kitchen either in the area where the tent cities are located or where the caravans are," he said.

From the second day of the earthquake, the governorate demanded that the soup kitchen established by the Saadet Party and MİLKO organizations, which distributes hot meals to 10 thousand people daily in Malatya, should be abolished abruptly. It was decided to move the soup kitchen to a suitable place due to the meeting traffic.

“GOVERNOR CALLED ME AND TALKED ABOUT THE CONTAINER BAZAAR PROJECT”

National Opinion organizations carrying out their work in Malatya, one of the cities affected by the disaster, set up a soup kitchen tent that served hot meals to 10 thousand people as of the second day of the earthquake.

The tent set up in the center of Malatya was visited by Deputy Governor Mehmet Öz recently and demanded that it be removed within two hours.

After the decision, which received a reaction after the incident was reflected to the public, a meeting was held between Malatya Governorship and Malatya Provincial Chairman of Saadet Party, Mustafa Canbay.

Describing the meeting, Provincial Chairman of Saadet Party Canbay, "After the visit of the deputy governor, I set out to meet with the governor. When I went to the governor's office, they said that we could not meet because the governor was not there. At around 17.30, our governor called me. He stated that there was a negativity to me and that a container bazaar would be established for our tradesmen instead of the Malatya bazaar that was destroyed there. After explaining this project in a very neat way, I also stated that if the deputy governor who came to our soup kitchen would talk in the same way, it would not be a problem. As a result, our tradesmen have been harmed, and of course we will do our part. I also thanked the governor", he said.
