YÖK PRESENTS PROJECT, 50/D PROBLEM WAITS
Thousands of research assistants face unemployment due to the 50/D status in the academy, which has been waiting for a solution since its first implementation. While the research assistants were waiting for a solution decision against the possibility of being unemployed, YÖK announced the 'Academic Foreign Language Support Project'. While within the scope of the project, foreign language support will be provided to academicians with doctoral degrees, thousands of research assistants who may be unemployed due to 50/D status, called for the solution of the problems of the academic staff in the 50/D status as priority.
WHEN LET 50/D STATUSES BE TAKEN TO 33/A STATUS, PROJECTS MAKE MEANING
The researchers, who called for a solution to the 50/D problem with the comments made under the announcement made by YÖK President Erol Özvar about the project, drew attention to the fact that thousands of research assistants will be unemployed after the doctorate due to the status applied, and pointed out that YÖK will only have a limited number of young researchers with a doctorate. It was underlined that the implemented projects would gain meaning by changing the 50/D status to 33/A.
