Milli Gazete witnesses the drama in the Azez region of Syria, where a civil war has been going on for 11 years and a great humanitarian crisis has been experienced...

Our correspondent, Furkan Erten, and our Foreign News Editor, Emre Miyasoğlu, visited the tent cities in the region, where the winter season is quite harsh, and met with oppressed Muslims. The extent of poverty that pushes the patience revealed...

Thousands of people, who had to migrate from their homes due to conflicts and interventions by third countries, have taken shelter in the Syrian city of Azez, on the Turkish border.

In Azez, where 150,000 people cling to life in the camps, many tents collapsed due to the winter conditions and the roads were covered with mud.

In the region where approximately 350 tents have collapsed, oppressed Muslims are struggling for their livelihood with humanitarian aid. It is protected from severe cold only with the help of incoming coal.

While people in need try to warm up by collecting tree branches and cones in some regions, children walk barefoot in the mud.

There is a humanitarian crisis in the region due to the harsh winter season and the increase in precipitation.

Access to food is very difficult.

Oppressed Muslims are clinging to life with the food of non-governmental organizations.

In the region where the weather is quite cold, people have to collect and burn even tree branches and cones, as well as the materials sent by benefactors, in order to stay warm.

Even walking on the roads has become difficult due to rain and snow, while children are walking barefoot in the mud.

An old lady, whom we visited in her makeshift tent, told her through tears of her difficulties.

The lady who does not want to be photographed but keeps us witness to her poverty called out to the conscience of humanity.

"You see our condition. I'm trying to make a pot of food with three potatoes. We find it difficult to reach food and even medicine. My grandchildren are constantly sick from the cold. May Allah reward those who caused this. Allah bless you," she said.

Despite the freezing weather and poverty, the children of the Ummah cling to life with all their innocence and beauty.

Children wandering in the mud-covered streets with their slippers or bare feet produce toys from small items they find. While some play with a flat tire and some with a small tire, all children maintain their innocence despite all these problems.
