FIRE IN THE KITCHEN

Saadet Party Gebze District President Mustafa Turel said, “According to the research of the United Public Business Confederation, food prices increased 97,1 percent in the first 8 months of this year. Bread, rice, flour and pasta prices increased by 94 percent. Meat and fish prices increased by 56,6 percent, fruit prices increased by 195,4 percent and vegetable prices increased by 168,3 percent. In other words, the basket that cost 100 Turkish Liras (TL) on average to be full, became 276 TL in dollars. This increase in food prices makes our citizens say 'there is a fire in the kitchen'.” Turel finally added, “We, as the Gebze District Organization, will do our part. Because we believe in happy tomorrows. For our future, for a humane life, we always will work together. We will cultivate a fair state and fair distribution in these lands. It's time for Saadet Party for our country and district.”

CITIZENS ARE COMPELLED TO USURERS

Turel continued his statement, “There has been an increase of 170 billion TL in the debts of citizens to banks in the last 3 months (between May 6 and August 12). Individuals' debt to banks and financing companies (housing-vehicle-needs and credit card) increased to 1 trillion 285 billion TL as of August 12, including the non-performing ones. Of this debt of citizens, 972 billion TL comes from individual (housing-automobile-needs) loans, and 313 billion TL from credit card debt balances. In the last week, there was an increase of 6,5 billion TL and 7,4 billion TL in consumer loans,” he said.
