In the face of high inflation, tradesmen are also crying because they can't sell. A tradesman who complained about the expensiveness said, "We were living for free 2 years ago".

Interesting landscapes emerge during the visits of the politicians to the tradesmen and the public.

The real agenda of the people is the cost of living.

The tradesmen, whom CHP Niğde Deputy Ömer Fethi Gürer listened to in Ulukışla, "Bread six million (6 liras), potatoes 15 million (15 liras), chicken 70 million (70 liras). Electricity is 1.5-2 billion (1500-2000 thousand liras). The man cannot eat, and the eater cannot drink ayran. We will go abroad, illegally; Like Syrians, like Afghans", he said.

"WE WILL ABROAD ILLEGALY"

Can Masak, who runs the doner kebab shop, "Bread six million (6 liras), potatoes 15 million (15 liras), chicken 70 million (70 liras). Electricity is 1.5-2 billion (1500-2000 thousand liras). The man cannot eat, and the eater cannot drink ayran. My shop is for sale. I come today morning, no bargaining; come on, thank you. I cannot pay a single man's insurance, 5 billion (5 thousand liras)… We will go abroad, illegally; Like Syrians, like Afghans," he said.

"WE CAN'T GET THE GOODS THAT WE BUY AGAIN"

Nuts tradesman, speaking to the MP, "Things settled down. The highlanders came to our rescue during the summer, but they are not shopping this year either. We bought 150 thousand lira worth of goods. We did not get the same again. Peanut was 100 lira, it became 170 lira. Sunflower seeds were 70 liras, it became 115 liras. Pumpkin seeds were 180 pounds, it turned out to be 230 pounds. Almond was 200 liras, it became 330 liras. Cashew was 280, it became 350. Pistachio broke the record. It went from 250 lira to 500 lira. We sell the coffee we buy for 195 liras for 250 liras," he said.

STRESS IS GROWING

"Loading labor, which is 350 lira, says 1 billion (thousand lira). I paid 3 thousand 300 liras for labor for 3 tons of goods. Just upload money. A bag of eggplant costs 500 liras. Calculate the diesel now. We lived in this country for free two years ago," bazaar tradesman said.

Stating that the tradesmen have always suffered, but the troubles in the last 2 years have increased exponentially, "We were living for free until 2 years ago, but we were not aware of it. It is necessary to separate life between after 2021 and before 2021. The last two years have been very difficult," bazaar tradesmen added.

GÜRER: “I HAVE NEVER SEEN IT LIKE THIS”

Gürer evaluated what the tradesmen conveyed in his written statement as follows:

"During the AKP period, there have always been problems, people, all segments of society have suffered and continue to suffer from economic difficulties. This year, however, the picture is much worse. There are those who want to sell their shop and enter a place as a worker, the marketer tells that he is trying to keep customers by selling a few products he brought to the market for less than the price he bought. The number of people making patches at the tailor and claws at the cobbler has increased. Even the second-hand product market has been established in the district market. Even sunflower seeds have become a luxury snack. The transportation costs of the market tradesmen amounted to much more than the sale of the product they brought from Adana to Mersin. Shopkeepers cannot take out insurance, citizens have come to a point where they cannot buy the fruit they want. There are citizens who visit the bakery to see where to buy cheap bread. Touch the pensioner, ah, hear it. In such an environment, neither tradesmen nor citizens are happy."
