The "Communiqué on Member Statistics for July 2022" of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of labor unions was published in the Official Gazette.
According to the statistics announced, the total number of workers increased by 4.53 percent compared to the previous January period and reached 15 million 987 thousand 428. The number of workers who are members of the union increased by 4.14 percent to 2 million 280 thousand 285. The unionization rate was 14.26.

According to the statistics, which do not include information on the number of members of the confederations, the largest number of workers among the 20 business lines is “commerce, office, education and fine arts” with 4 million 86 thousand 7 workers, followed by “metal” with 1 million 865 thousand 713 workers. and “construction” with 1 million 445 thousand 368 workers.
"Hizmet-İş" Service-workers union, with 252 thousand 612 members, continues to protect the title of "the largest labor union" that it has maintained for a while, while "Türk Metal" Union is in second place with 245 thousand 602 members, and "Öz Sağlık-İş" health workers is in third place with 193 thousand 829 members. .

Making a statement about the statistics announced, Hak-İş Confederation Chairman Mahmut Arslan said, "The total number of members of Hak-İş with 20 unions has reached 762 thousand 439. Our Confederation Hak-İş, which continues to gain the trust of its employees and to grow steadily despite all difficulties, continues to be one of the largest confederations in Turkey."
