While the Baghdad administration denies the claims that the movement of US soldiers within the country is related to Iraq, it states that this situation is related to Syria.
Khalid al-Yaqubi, Security Advisor to Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia es-Sudani, made a statement to AA correspondent regarding the recent military activity of the US forces in Iraq and the allegations that these soldiers will be redeployed in Iraq.
Yaqubi said that the allegations that the US is sending troops to Iraq are "baseless".
"We only hear about the mobility of US soldiers and their re-deployment in Iraq from some media, but official sources do not confirm this," Yaqubi said.
While it was claimed that the USA was making shipments with military vehicles in various parts of Iraq, some unconfirmed images were also published on social media.
Iraqi military experts also evaluated the recent military activity of the USA, which caused controversy, to AA correspondent.
"USA WANTS TO EXTEND ITS STRENGTH IN EASTERN SYRIA"
Military expert Muayad Jehaishi emphasized that Iraq does not need foreign combat soldiers at this stage, the number of DAESH terrorists will not exceed 200-300 and they do not have the ability to organize attacks.
Jehaishi, however, stated that the Iraqi security forces needed training to be able to use advanced weapons. Jehaishi, who argued that the military activity of the US soldiers in Iraq was a show of strength, said, "The US wants to prevent Iran from sending weapons, explosives and military reinforcements to Syria via Iraq. The US aims to cut the link between Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. That is why they are conducting an operation in eastern Syria. The USA insists that the Elbu Kamal Border Gate and that line be completely under its control."
Jehaishi added that the US wants to expand its sovereignty in eastern Syria.
