"DECREASING NUMBER IN FEBRUARY IS REASONABLE"

The report on violence in health prepared regularly by Sağlık-Sen every month was shared with the public. According to the report, while 19 healthcare workers were victims of 13 violent incidents involving 45 attackers in January, this number dropped in February. In February, 13 health workers were attacked in 9 violent incidents involving 36 attackers. Although violence against healthcare workers has decreased compared to January, it is regrettable that violence still continues.

DURMUŞ: "RESPECT FOR HEALTHCARE EMPLOYEES"

Evaluating the report, Sağlık-Sen President Semih Durmuş, "Everyone talks about the sacrifice of our healthcare professionals, but when there is an incident of violence, everyone falls silent. This is not an acceptable type of behavior. Health is a sacred profession. Health workers who perform this profession with devotion also deserve the highest respect. Respect and love for healthcare professionals should not remain in words. The fact that violence against a healthcare worker is against the whole society should never be overlooked. This should be the basic course of action. Only in this way can we prevent violence in health," he said.
