Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu protested with a "white shirt" at the joint group meeting of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, referring to the recent black money and fraud incidents.
Davutoğlu took off his jacket and tie at the podium and started speaking in his white shirt.
"Those who receive this money and those who open these beauty salons say, 'We are accountable to our state, our state, our flag, our adhan..' Now, the nation is suspicious of anyone who says 'homeland, flag, state, adhan'. They polluted these concepts," Davutoğlu said.
Speaking at the Saadet - Future joint Turkish Grand National Assembly group meeting, Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu protested with a "white shirt" to draw attention to the emphasis on "transparency" regarding the recent money laundering allegations.
Davutoğlu, who took off his jacket and tie at the podium and started speaking in his white shirt, stated that they had previously come to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey wearing white shirts because they wanted the Ministry of Internal Affairs to investigate Sedat Peker's allegations and that they had been manhandled.
"Alhamdulillah, we are in the Parliament right now and we are here to do the white-shirt accounting of that day today. What allegations were made? Members of parliament who receive salaries from mafia leaders, tenders, marina collapses, people made rich by the state. There is a bloodsucking mob around the government, a lot has been said... The Minister of Internal Affairs appeared on television and instead of giving an answer, he told me how they had set up a conspiracy. While the Minister of Internal Affairs of that day was making these allegations, the President remained silent for a month. Mr. Bahçeli took that Minister of Internal Affairs under his protection and that Minister of Internal Affairs served for two more years. Two years have passed and a new Minister of Internal Affairs came after an election... Touching on the issue of 'scam', which some football players have been involved in recently, Davutoğlu said, "Famous football players who are loved and known by the public... They look up and transfer the money from the treasury to exchange rate protected deposits without asking.
