The Tax Procedure Law General Communiqué prepared by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance Revenue Administration was published in the Official Gazette.
In the Communiqué, pursuant to the Tax Procedure Law, the revaluation rate is the average price increase rate in the domestic producer price index of the Turkish Statistical Institute in October (including October) of the year to be revaluated compared to the same period of the previous year, and this rate is announced by the Ministry in the Official Gazette. stated needed.
In this context, it was noted that the revaluation rate was determined as 122.93 percent for 2022.
In the laws on various taxes and fees, it is foreseen that the amounts of taxes, fees and penalties will increase every year by the revaluation rate.
In accordance with the Tax Procedure Law, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had the authority to reduce the revaluation rate by 50 percent and increase it by 50 percent in taxes and fees.
In Motor Vehicles Tax, while the President's authority to increase is 50 percent, his authority to reduce is 80 percent. In penalties, the announced revaluation rates cannot be changed.
