In the previous local elections, Hasan Aktaş and İlyas Aktaş, ballot box officials from the Saadet Party, were murdered by Mikail Sülük's family in Pütürge, Malatya.
Aktaş's family is reacting to Sülük's re-nomination from the AKP.
"No one went to the polls when the incident occurred, but that person was won the election. After this, AK Party deputies and the Provincial Chairman rewarded this person by nominating him in this election," Demir Mehmet Aktaş, brother of the murdered İlyas Aktaş said.

Sülük was re-nominated by the AKP.
Demir Mehmet Aktaş, the brother of the murdered İlyas Aktaş, who called for Sülük to be withdrawn from candidacy, underlined that the person was given an award when he should have been punished.
"WE EXPLAINED IT TO BOTH THE PROVINCIAL MAYOR AND THE MP'S"
Pointing out that the father and nephews of AKP candidate Mikail Sülük carried out a massacre in the last local elections in Malatya Pütürge, Aktaş stated that the current Mayor and his family were involved in this.
"Current Mayor Mikail Sülük's father, brother and 3 nephews killed 2 men and injured 1 man here. We told the AK Party Provincial Chairman not to nominate this man in Pütürge. I explained this issue to 4 MPs of Malatya many times. We called for this person not to be nominated as a candidate," Aktaş added.
"I CALL OUT TO THE PRESIDENT, WE WANT THE NECESSARY TO BE DONE"
Stating that they were reacting to his re-nomination, Aktaş said, "I would also like to address President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. We want what is necessary to be done. I have 5 orphaned children. That day, 5 people carried out the massacre. One person escaped that day and has still not been found. Who missed this? Who helped? At the same time, while our court process was continuing, 4 people were given aggravated life sentences. Then it was moved to the upper court in Kırşehir. The Supreme Court approved the decision. After that, Hacı Sülük, one of these people, went out with a fake report. The sentences of the remaining two people were reduced to 25 years. We want justice."
THE ELECTION WAS QUESTIONABLE IN 2019, BUT THAT PERSON WON THE ELECTION
Underlining that they brought the issue to the Provincial Mayor and MPs many times, Aktaş stated that it was promised that Mikail Sülük would not be nominated again, and said, "After this incident in the 2019 elections, the elections in Pütürge were questionable. No one went to the polls when the incident occurred, but that person was won the election. After this, AK Party deputies and the Provincial Chairman rewarded this person by nominating him in this election."
