HAMAS director Khalid Meshaal spoke at the opening of the International Muslim Parliamentarians Forum held in Istanbul, which he attended via teleconference.
Meshaal said the following about the situation of HAMAS's senior commanders in the Israeli attacks:
"Resistance is good. Yes, there are martyrs among warriors, commanders, some military leaders, but there are no those in the first ranks. Despite all this, resistance is good. The resistance's weapons, tunnels and management are intact."
Khaled Meshaal also emphasized that HAMAS was preparing itself for a long war.
"We have prepared ourselves for a long war, but we do not think it will last long. The humanitarian situation hurts us, but it does not deter us from marching. Commanders are also martyred, and their relatives are among the martyrs, Meshaal added.
Arguing that Israel has not achieved any of its goals, the HAMAS leader stated that although some Palestinians left the northern part of the Gaza Strip, most of them still remained in their places.
THE PLANS OF THE TYRANT WILL BE TRADLED UNDER FOOT
Meshaal emphasized that all Israel's plans would be trampled by the resistance and that the administration in Gaza after the war would not be as they wanted.
Regarding the humanitarian intervention in the Gaza Strip, Meshaal reminded that they said they wanted to release the captured civilians from the first day and that they released some of them in the beginning.
Meshaal stated that the humanitarian pause was made to achieve three things: "the release of captives, the end of attacks and the arrival of aid."
