Total death toll tops 8 thousand from COVID-19 in Turkey

The Ministry of Health has announced that Turkey’s coronavirus death toll has risen to 8,062 and the total number of cases to 315,845. 65 people have died of the virus and 1,412 people have tested positive in the last 24 hours.

Turkey has reported 65 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 8,062, the country’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 315,845, after 1,412 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

While at least 1,596 patients are in critical condition, 277,052 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

10,153,223 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country.
