The Felicity (Saadet) Party took the picture of Turkey's economy with the "Basic Economic Indicators" report prepared by the Economic Development Policies Board. Important data were recorded in the report, in which the economy was discussed with all titles.

GROWTH WILL BE LOW

In the report, which stated that Turkey's economy achieved a limited or almost flat growth performance in 2020, The most basic uncertainty in terms of economic growth in the next period is how long and to what extent these measures and restrictions will be implemented. It would not be wrong to say that the growth will occur at a low level if the effect of the epidemic continues and the measures taken within the framework of the fight against the epidemic are maintained or expanded.

In the report, which draws attention to the increase in public expenditures, “The current expenditures made by the public sector as of 2019 have revealed a borrowing requirement of 131,350,060 thousand TL. However, it is estimated that the borrowing requirement for 2020 will be 293,851,730 thousand TL” and it was noted that this situation was a sign that the public budget would have a difficult time.

CITIZEN FOUND THE REMEDY IN CREDITS

In the report, which underlined that the citizens were looking for the remedy in bank loans due to the economic problems experienced in 2020, it was noted that 819,312 million TL consumer loans were used as of November 2020. The report also includes data on non-performing loans and credit card debt amounts. Accordingly, non-performing consumer loan and personal credit card debt amounted to TL 18,715 million.

AGAINST HIGH INFLATION EMPLOYEES AND PENSIONS MUST BE PROTECTED

In the report, which stated that one of the biggest problems of the Turkey's economy is high inflation, it was underlined that more effective and urgent measures should be taken in the fight against inflation. In the report, which stated that workers and retirees should be protected against this, “Civil servants and minimum wage earners should be protected against inflation. In order to protect retirees whose purchasing power has decreased, in addition to the increase in pensions, support should be provided to retirees in matters such as rent, food and fuel, and in this context, additional measures should be taken to prevent pensions from melting in the face of real inflation ”.

LARGE COMPREHENSIVE UNEMPLOYMENT DATA SHOULD BE PUBLISHED

Important evaluations regarding unemployment, another chronic problem of our economy, were also included in the report. With the announcement of the unemployment rate of young people in the 15-24 age group as 24.9 percent by TURKSTAT, it was noted that one out of every four young people in our country is unemployed. However, the report stated that the general unemployment rate as 13 percent by TURKSTAT does not reflect the truth and is a limited data. "Comprehensive unemployment data should be presented, taking into account the people who benefit from short work and cash wage support with limited benefit level.

BUDGET DEPOSIT 132 BILLION TL

The report, which also handles the public budget, recorded the following: "In January-November 2020, central government budget revenues were 822 billion 188 million TL and budget expenditures were 931 billion 934 million TL. Accordingly, the public budget had a deficit of 132 billion 053 million TL in the said period. However, as of the same period, the primary deficit is 2 billion 980 million TL."
