Speaking at the conference organized by the European Youth Association in Vienna on the 'Role of European Muslims in World Peace' conference, AGD/MGV President Salih Turhan said: "A prophet who puts forward the struggle of not to harm the hair of an ant who thinks about the life of the ant cannot be evaluated together. In order to convey the peace, compassion and mercy to Islam, our first duty is to tell everyone that Islam is not a harmful religion."
Anadolu Youth Association (AGD) and National Youth Foundation (MGV) President Salih Turhan participated in the conference titled 'The Role of European Muslims in World Peace' organized by the European Youth Association in Vienna.
"WE HAVE TO DETERMINE ALL OUR WORKS ACCORDING TO THE PROCEDURES AND PRINCIPLES OF OUR FAITH"
Speaking at the conference, Turhan said that Islam encompasses the whole sphere of life. In other words, we have a belief that there is no shortage and surplus. Our faith has dimensions that encompass the stages of our entire lives. We will walk on the road, how we will be in relations with our families, how the working principles of the cultures will be shaped, how we will conduct our trade, how we will conduct administrative systems, how we will communicate with young people and those walking on the street, how should we act when getting on public transport? we have a belief that can answer all of this. We need to determine all our works according to the principles and procedures of our faith.
"PEACE AND LOVE ARE IN THE WORD OF OUR BELIEF"
Pointing out that Islamophobia has increased in many parts of Europe and the world, Turhan concluded as follows: "As a result of Islamophobia, we witnessed many things from attacks on mosques to attacks on Muslim men and women. The plan is to denounce the Islamic faith and religion and to make an effort to prevent the spread of Islam. I say clearly that Islam comes from the root of the 'silm'. 'Silm' means ‘PEACE’. The word Islam is an Arabic expression. If it was going to be expressed in Turkish, it would be expressed as ‘PEACE’.
