Turkish warplanes have hit nine PKK terrorist targets in southeast Turkey, the military said Saturday.
The late Friday strikes in Semdinli, Hakkari province, which borders Iraq and Iran, destroyed all nine objectives, the Turkish General Staff said in a statement.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July last year. Since then, more than 600 security personnel have been martyred and more than 7,000 PKK terrorists killed.
