Within the scope of the “Let the Qur'an be My Gift” project jointly carried out by the Turkish Religious Foundation (TDV) and the Presidency of Religious Affairs, 1,5 million Qur'an was delivered to millions of people in need. Stating that the Qur'an is a miracle sent to humanity, TDV General Manager Izani Turan pointed out that they make an effort to enter every house. Turan said, “We are delivering the Qur'an, the word of Almighty God, to our brothers and sisters who have not seen the Qur'an as a mushaf throughout their lives. We give our life book as a gift to our brothers and sisters in every stratum of the society who cannot reach the Qur'an, although in education institutions, especially hospitals and prisons in our country, and orphanages, madrasas and schools abroad. Especially in African countries, where hunger and poverty are at an extreme, children try to learn the Qur'an on pieces of wood and leather called 'luh' and become hafiz. The Qur'an we gifted to these people makes their life easier and they are very happy.”
