The government, which sold the valuable assets one by one, has now included Turkey Electricity Transmission Inc. (TEİAŞ), which ranks 26th in the list of Turkey's largest companies, within the scope of privatization. TEİAŞ, which made a profit of 2.1 billion liras in 2019, had a turnover of 14.9 billion liras in 2020.
 
The transfer of waste and resources in the public sector to some contractors under the name of "crazy project" without accounts and with Treasury guarantees combined with wrong economic policies. Adding to this, the terrible deficit in the budget, the political power once again found the solution in the privatization of valuable assets. The Presidential Decision regarding the inclusion of Turkey Electricity Transmission Inc. (TEİAŞ) in the scope of privatization was published in the Official Gazette yesterday. Accordingly, it was decided to include TEİAŞ in the scope of privatization and to subject it to preparations for public offering, in accordance with the relevant article of the Decree Law No. 703. Privatization preparations will be carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and the Privatization Administration.
 

14.9 BILLION TL TURNOVER IN 2020

 
TEİAŞ had a profit of 2.1 billion TL in 2019. According to the results of the Fortune 500 Turkey Research, in which Turkey's largest 500 companies are listed, TEİAŞ ranked 26th among 500 companies with a turnover of 14.9 billion TL in 2020. According to the balance sheet data for 2020, the total value of TEİAŞ's assets stands at TL 27.9 billion.
